Finished! One Orangina, knit using Knitpicks Shine Sport.

The photo is taken on the roof of my building at work, by one of co-workers, who is a fantastic photographer.

Long Time No Post Friday, Jun 29 2007

So, I have a been a bad, bad blogger.

I’m blaming this on the fact that I have social networking sites and blogs coming out of my ears, and haven’t yet figured out a good way to organize them, plus I’ve been working a lot.

That being said, I’ve made excellent progress on Orangina, I’m now to the ribbing. No pictures for this post–later, I promise–and hopefully I’ll be able to finish it this weekend.

If I’m really ambitious, I’ll also try to finish weaving the ends and blocking Under the Hoodie so that I can take it to work and be all, look what I made.

Even though it’s July. But as it turns out, July in San Francisco? Not all that warm. And any time of year in my office? Definitely not all that warm. I don’t know who is controlling the thermostat, but they are most certainly more hot-natured than I.

KIP! Thursday, Jun 7 2007

I’ve been plugging along on Orangina, but no pictures because my camera ran out of batteries and I haven’t gotten more yet.

In more exciting news–June 9th is Worldwide Knit in Public Day! So everyone get your knitting out!

I hear there’s a Knit-Out in Berkeley, so I might head over and see if I can meet some new knit buddies.

Oh–and I got the color I’m using for Orangina. It’s Knitpicks Shine Sport in crocus. It’s gorgeous.

Knitting! For Real! Saturday, Jun 2 2007

Guess what this is a picture of:

What, you didn’t think I was going to tell you that quickly, did you?

I’m finally over the sleep deprivation caused by flying back East for a weekend to go to my graduation.

My school isn’t officially one of the schools at the University, but we like to pretend we are, so some awesome Professors made us a sign.

If you can’t read it, it says “SMPA Grads Rock” because, of course, the School of Media and Public Affairs is totally awesome like that.

I actually managed to find Mary and Gina in the crowd–don’t we look thrilled to be graduating?

I also got to hang out with Mary and Elizabeth some more. Yay! There was much alcohol, and I’m sure people on the plane thought I was very strange, as I was drinking tons of coffee and eating advil like candy, while mumbling about tequila sunrises and redheaded sluts.

The drink, people, the drink.

But I did get some knitting done in the hotel (since my parents picked a hotel in the middle of NOWHERE (aka Centreville) which meant I barely got to see my friends) and I’ve completed this:

Still lost? It’s the back of Orangina. I’m knitting it in Knitpicks Shine Sport in a color I don’t remember at the moment. I’ve altered it of course, making it longer and smaller. I’m afraid I’ve made it too small–it stretches, but maybe I should get off my butt and start going to the gym.
